Despite the reservations stymying from an initial reveal and sudden multi year-long delay, the highly-anticipated next entry in the Zelda series will in all probability be a celebratory moment for the gaming medium. For the first time in the series, you'll be able to stand on a mountain and look out over the entire kingdom of Hyrule, pick out a tower or cave in the distance with your telescope and set forth to see what untold treasures and dangers await.

Now, this may sound like a basic open-world premise, but due to the technological constraints on Zelda games up to this point, it's the first time we'll see the formula applied to the legendary series. For the most part, the game still remains a mystery, though the visual style takes all the vibrance and colours we associate with Wind Waker, cranks them up, then combines them beautifully with anime-tinted character models.
